If you have ever knitted a pair of socks, you know they take time. Consider having to knit ALL the socks needed by your family!
As long ago at the late 16th century, a mechanical knitting machine was developed to ease this arduous task.
Cabin Volunteer Diane McCrea has restored an antique sock knitting machine to working order. Come see this amazing machine in action. Turn the crank and watch the process to create beautiful socks.

The kick off is at The Harmony Inn on 9/25 for a rocking Oktoberfest celebration! Enjoy a special Oktoberfest menu all day long, featuring delicious German-inspired delights that will transport you straight to Bavaria.
But that's not all! The party kicks into high gear from 6 PM until 9 PM with the energetic beats of The Polkamanicas, a live punk-polka band that'll have you dancing and singing along.
Bring your friends, grab a stein, and let's raise a toast to good times and great music.

Harmony's New Year's Eve Silvester Celebration
The Harmony Silvester Celebration, December 31, 2024.
Is a family focused afternoon of fun in Historic Harmony that honors its German heritage by celebrating Silvester (New Year’s Eve) on German time.
The day begins at 3:30 PM with the Harmony Silvester 5K Run.
There will be a one mile fun run at 4:15.
After the race, there will be activities and the many shops will be open.
The countdown celebration to German midnight will begin at 5:30PM in Harmony Square with Harmony’s very own ball drop at 6:00PM and fireworks display when the clock strikes “midnight” in Germany.
